Our Humble Beginnings
In 2015, Dr. Selamnesh Tsige, a pediatrician at Tikur Anbessa Hospital, witnessed the struggles of rural patients traveling to Addis Ababa for treatment without shelter or food. Driven by compassion, she started an informal feeding program, which later became Gojo Shelter. From these humble beginnings, Gojo has grown into a sanctuary providing accommodation, meals, and transportation assistance, helping thousands focus on healing without the burden of logistical challenges. Here is one of our very first videos in collaboration with our former contributor coca cola.
